Charles W. (Chuck) Chesnut, has lived in Miami, Oklahoma, his entire life.  He was admitted to bar in 1977, Oklahoma.

Preparatory and legal education: University of Oklahoma (B.B.A., 1974; J.D., 1977). President, Miami Chamber of Commerce,1982.

Part-time Magistrate, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Oklahoma, Northern District of Oklahoma, 1983-87. Judge, Oklahoma Court of Appeals, Temporary Panel, 1991-92.

Member: Ottawa County (president, 1979) and Oklahoma Bar Associations; Oklahoma Bar Foundation (President, 1999). Member of Miami Public Schools Board of Education, 1995 - present.

Glenn Beauchamp graduated Oklahoma City University of Law 1980, Juris Doctor.

Member of Ottawa County Bar Association, Member Oklahoma Bar Association, Member Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association.

Municipal judge for City of Fairland, Town of Wyandotte, Town of North Miami, and previous municipal judge for Town of Bernice, Oklahoma.

POWERS AND DUTIES

The prosecuting attorney shall have full power to prosecute and resist appeals and proceedings in error or review from the municipal court.

City clerk appoints the position of court administrator.

Ms. Wells has been with the City since February 1975.

She served as office/records manager with the police department until appointment to court clerk in 1998.

Job Summary:
Plans, directs, coordinates, and monitors non-judicial personnel and administrative activities of the municipal court; ensures compliance with court procedures, laws, and regulations governing the court; ensures the accountability of court documents, records, and revenues. Performs routine clerical, bookkeeping. Processes transactions and provides services to the public related to municipal court.  This position is coordinator for the court-related community service program.

Carrie transferred to the municipal court in April 2002 from code enforcement where she held the position of code enforcement officer for the City.

Assigned to assist the court administrator in the operation of the court, Ms. Taylor provides recommendations to the court administrator as needed for efficient operation of the court.

Job Summary:
Participates in the day-to-day operations of the municipal court including the preparation of court documents and record keeping of court proceedings; provides assistance to the public regarding court operations; prepares and maintains the court dockets; performs bookkeeping and accounting functions, processes transactions and provides services to the public related to municipal court.
