Department Emergency Management |
| The mission of the Miami Emergency Management Program is to create a more disaster-resistant community and to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Miami by reducing or eliminating the affects of natural, man-made, or technological hazards that affect the normal lifestyles of the citizens. Public and private partners will accomplish this mission in a manner that advances community goals, enhances the quality of life for the citizens of Miami, and creates a more viable and sustainable community in times of crisis. To promote the concept of a larger role of personal responsibility before, during, and after an event that affects the quality of life for the citizens of Miami. |
