On behalf of all Miami's municipal employees, I would like to welcome you to the website for our organization.  We are very proud of our City and the many public services we provide our citizens, utility customers, and visitors. 

The City of Miami is a historic Route 66 community with a very diverse population and culture.  The city is full of historic spirit and strives constantly to preserve its heritage while promoting development of our community to improve the quality of life for everyone.  The city is approximately 12 square miles and includes great schools, recreational opportunities, and a whole host of public and community services.

There are many exciting opportunities within the City to have your voice heard and help establish the direction of City government.  We would like to invite all citizens to become involved with the various civic groups and organizations that exist.  City leaders are always seeking your input and direction in our public policy decision-making process.  There are numerous boards and commissions, composed of civic-minded residents and business leaders who volunteer their time and expertise to study issues of interest and make recommendations to the City council. 

As you drive through town you will notice the many improvements that are occurring.  We are currently in the process of upgrading roads, adding new recreational equipment and facilities, as well as many other general public improvements.  The City of Miami has completed some very aggressive capital improvement projects over the last three years.  These accomplishments demonstrate the continuing efforts of City workers to improve services, increase productivity, and perform their daily responsibilities in a professional and friendly manner.

You are cordially invited to view the City council meetings on NEO cable channel 13 every first and third Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m.  This is an opportunity for you to check out local officials in action!
